Dance for Life in Chicago

On Saturday, August 29, the AIDS Foundation of Chicago hosted its 18th annual Dance for Life benefit at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance. Dean Richards, entertainment critic and reporter for WGN-TV, hosted the event, which included performances by leading dance troupes and was held to help individuals affected by HIV/AIDS. Participating dance companies included Giordano Jazz Dance Chicago, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, The Joffrey Ballet and River North Chicago Dance Company. Renowned choreographer Randy Duncan staged a world premiere finale.

Proceeds from the event benefited the AIDS Foundation of Chicago, Chicago House, AIDSCare, Center on Halsted, and the Dance for Life Fund.
