Stephen Randal Henry, DrPH, MPH, has been appointed program director for the Los Angeles Family AIDS Network (LAFAN).
Henry's earlier career encompasses a range of managerial and educational roles in the field of public health. These include evaluation director and principal investigator for Children's Hospital Los Angeles and the Veterans Health Administration of Greater Los Angeles; as an adjunct assistant professor with the University of Southern California's School of Policy, Planning and Development; and as a guest lecturer for the UCLA Health Education Extension program. He has also worked with the Veterans Health Administration, Children's Hospital Los Angeles, the UCLA/Venice Family Clinic and the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services.
LAFAN's mission is to provide access to medical care for low-income families, women, children and teens with HIV in Los Angeles County.
