Tom Melville will return as the John XXIII HIV/AIDS Services, Monterey, CA, new executive director starting Aug. 3 said the Board of Directors. Melville was previously the agency’s executive director from 1995-1997
“We are very happy to have Tom Melville as our new executive director and are very much looking forward to working with him in accomplishing the agency’s mission.” said board chairman Kevin Logan.
Melville replaces Sara Wilson, who has been interim executive director since February following the departure of Katherine Thoeni, the agency’s Executive Director since 1997.
Melville will be leaving his current position as Director of Development at the Community Foundation for Monterey County. According to president/CEO Todd Lueders, during Melville's 4-year tenure, more than $55 million in new funds has been received, and the Foundation’s publications, Web site, and professional outreach to philanthropy advisors have been improved and expanded.
“Though I am leaving the Community Foundation, I remain a strong believer in its mission and am thankful for the opportunity to be a part of the staff to fulfill that mission,” Melville said.
